The Tanchijm Tanya’s are a pair of earbuds tuned to follow the Harman IE Curve -- a specific tuning designed to give earbud’s a more “room-like” quality. This gives the Tanya’s an expansive and realistic sound, especially considering their budget price tag.
Listeners can expect a very natural sound that highlights a punchy bass that offers plenty of depth. While detailed and pretty powerful for budget earbuds, Tanya’s bass response does fall short of a serious thump. However, weighty bass would be expecting too much at this price tag!
Vocals are rendered cleanly and effortlessly brought to the center of the soundstage. This tuning also benefits the mids, with lead instruments blooming to life naturally and commanding a strong presence in the mix. Treble is rich and expansive without becoming shrill. Even with the volume up, you’re unlikely to experience much fatigue listening to the Tanchjim Tanya.
On the whole, the Tanya’s have a slightly warm sound. Though the tuning is based on a Harman IE Curve, it doesn’t follow it precisely, with modifications made to suit the driver and listening experience. The result is a pleasant tuning, slightly warm of neutral, well suited to everyday listening for most genres of music.
