ThieAudio Legacy 2
With a warm, balanced sound signature, the ThieAudio Legacy 2 offers a great listening experience at a moderate price point.
The largely balanced tuning of the Legacy 2 departs slightly from neutral with its boosted bass shelf, which helps these IEMs emphasize sub-bass frequencies. The effect is a powerful rumble that brings sub-bass heavy tracks to life.
The boosted bass brings an overall warmth to the sound that extends into the low-mids. While this extended bass shelf lends a nice character to the sound, it may come at the cost of some dynamics and definition.
This is not to say the ThieAudio Legacy 2 lacks definition. Particularly in the largely neutrally-tuned mid-range, lead instruments and vocals are presented accurately and are well complemented by the powerful sub-bass.
Approaching the high end, we find plenty of room for cymbals and high-frequency instruments to bloom in the upper register. This is accomplished with a careful balance that brings treble to life without shrinking or overpowering the detailed mid-range.
Overall, the Theiaudio Legacy 2 is a capable pair of IEMs with a comfortable tuning that suits most styles of listening and production.
